Built by A/S Kjøbenhavns Flydedok & Skibsvaerft, Søndre Vaerft, Copenhagen, but the builders amalgamated in 1927 with A/S Burmeister & Wain's Maskin og Skibsbyggeri. Completed by A/S Burmeister & Wain's Maskin og Skibsbyggeri, Copenhagen, as S/S Wellamo for Finska Ångfartygs Aktiebolaget, Helsinki.

Sailed on Helsinki - Tallinn - Stettin, Helsinki - Lübeck and Helsinki - Copenhagen - Hull lines. After WW II on Turku - Stockholm and Helsinki - Stockholm lines. In 1960 replaced S/S Oihonna in Helsinki - Travemünde service.

23.10.1967

Sold to M. Rauanheimo Oy, (Ab R. Nordström & Co. Oy), Kokkola, and renamed S/S Oulutar.

Sailed one season in Oulu - Luleå and Kokkola - Härnösand service.

8.5.1969

Sold to Oy Vaasa-Umeå Ab, Vaasa, and renamed S/S Örnen.

Sailed that summer between Vaasa and Örnsköldsvik.

22.9.1969

Sold for demolition to Vaasan Romukauppa - Vasa Skrothandel, Saxberg & Nord and arrived in October in Helsinki to be broken up by Helsingin Romuliike.
