Introduction
FINLAND LINKS (aka FinnLinks) is a compilation of over 3,000 annotated, categorized and cross-referenced, English language websites concerned with matters relating to Finns and Finland. Though included in a Finnish genealogy website, FinnLinks will be useful to anyone with an interest in Finland and all things Finnish.
FINNLINKS, is divided into some 30 specific categories as shown in the INDEX frame and most categories are further divided into sub-categories for ease of navigation. Websites are not generally rated but major or particularly interesting sites may be highlighted. Websites originating in Finland usually have corresponding Finnish language pages.
The main Category Index shows the date each category was
updated. Furthermore, each new link on a category page is
highlighted by a
symbol placed alongside the actual link. The
symbol will remain in place for a period of four weeks.
To access links assigned to a specific category, simply click on the category name. This will take you to a brief introduction and current listing of website links for that category.
New links are frequently added; therefore it is suggested that one visit FinnLinks often to check for new links.
All sites will be re-visited for linkrot roughly every 2 weeks. (Linkrot occurs all too frequently when websites are redesigned, i.e., existing URLs may be broken in the process. Links of course also vanish when websites are closed out.)
To submit a new English language
website, to report a broken link or to update a link please contact finnlinks@genealogia.fi.
Finland Links is maintained by the Genealogical Society of Finland.
