- Final disposal of nuclear waste in Finland
"The Finnish nuclear waste management is guided by the Nuclear Energy Act and Decree. In 1994 the Nuclear Energy Act was amended so that all nuclear waste produced in Finland must be disposed of in Finland. Until the end of 1996 all nuclear waste generated at Loviisa was transported to a Russian reprocessing plant. The Nuclear Energy Act prohibits the import of nuclear waste." Discussion.
