Finlandia Foothills
A summit in Antarctica. A rock massif, 10 miles long and 10 miles wide, rising to c. 1,130 m at the W side of Sibelius Glacier, Alexander Island. Photographed from the air in 1947-48, and mapped from these photographs. Named after the symphonic poem Finlandia (1899) by the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius (1865-1957).

Sibelius Glacier
A glacier in Antarctica. Glacier, 12 miles long and 6 miles wide, flowing S into Mozart Ice Piedmont 10 miles SW of Mount Stephenson in the N part of Alexander Island. First seen from the air in 1937. Mapped in 1960 from the air photos taken in 1947-48. Named after the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius (1865-1957).
